JUSTIFICATION THROUGH JESUS

Justification is not a wage, it is a gift. It is undeserved favor given freely because of Christ’s sacrifice.

Justification is God’s legal act of declaring a sinner righteous, not because of our deeds, but through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a divine exchange where our sin is placed on Him, and His righteousness is credited to us.

THE PROBLEM

Scripture makes our condition clear:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

No one measures up. The law reveals our failure but cannot rescue us. We cannot earn heaven through effort, morality, or religious performance.

THE GIFT

But what the law could not accomplish, grace provides.

“And are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 3:24

Justification is not a wage, it is a gift. It is undeserved favor given freely because of Christ’s sacrifice. Jesus took our guilt so that we could receive His righteousness.

THE MEANS

How do we receive this gift?

“For by grace you have been saved through faith.” — Ephesians 2:8–9

Faith is the open hand that receives God’s promise. It is not faith in ourselves, but faith in the finished work of Christ. We trust what He has done on our behalf.

THE RESULT

Justification does more than change our status, it changes our standing before God.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Romans 5:1

Because of Christ’s work, we are no longer defendants awaiting judgment. We are children welcomed into the Father’s house. The courtroom has been replaced with peace.

CONCLUSION

Live today in the freedom of being fully known and fully accepted. Christ has finished the work. The verdict has been declared. You are justified.
